Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter Review

Being that I’m sensitive to fragrance, it took me a long time to find a body butter that didn’t irritate me too much.  I would only be able to use body butter ever once in a while, but having dry eczema prone skin I really wanted to use one on a regular basis.  One day while doing some discount shopping at the CCO, (click here for more info on what the cco is) I stumbled on the Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter and it seemed promising.  Well I got lucky and this has become a go to moisturizer.

If you are suffering from eczema or severely dry skin you may want to check this out to get your skin on the road to recovery.  The first three ingredients are water, shea butter and glycerin, which can really help nourish and heal dry cracked skin.

I have gone through two jars of this body butter and started a third, so as you can tell I’m enjoying it thoroughly.  I have found that it has improved my skin over time.  I’ve noticed that some of my scars have faded and my skin feels softer than it used to.  Even though it has a thick texture and takes a minute or two to fully absorb, it doesn’t leave behind a residue.  The downside to this for me is that it goes quickly and it retails for $30.50 @ Nordstrom.

If you are military you can get it from the exchange for $25.95 and when I found it at a CCO I got it for $23.25.  If you just need a thicker richer moisturizer for the winter months it might be worth the investment, but I think this would get expensive if you wanted to use it for longer than that.  The upside for me is that I live in Florida so it is only cold for a short time.  I also find that I really like using this as a hand cream.  Also as mentioned if you are just looking for a treatment to cure dry rough skin that regular lotion hasn’t been able to heal, this could be a short term solution to get you on the right track.
